The Year 6 Sport Leaders organised and delivered a fantastic sports morning for all the Reception and Year 1 children. The children coached the children in mini sessions of tennis, rugby, football, hockey and basketball.
The Sports Leaders were a credit to the school, and Miss Smith is very proud of all of them. Well done to everyone. (6.7.17)

2016-2017 –Come and join our ‘Sports Crew ‘and help improve sport in our school.
Setting up equipment during PE lessons and on match days
Organising kits / water bottles
Refereeing / Umpiring
Warm up / cool down during PE lesson and on game days
Arranging playground games at lunchtimes
Contributing to the arrangements and organising of Sports afternoons / Sports Day
Running a Sainsbury’s school games day for younger pupils
Developing leadership skills in Physical Education, the children will lead warm ups and cool downs and will be in charge of the setting up of any equipment. They will often be asked to umpire and officiate games during PE lessons and any events with other schools which are during school hours.
The children will organise playground games for the KS1 children and help run our Change4Life club for other pupils.
Pupils will be asked to write a brief description about why they would make a good leader.
Selected pupils will be asked to an interview with Miss Smith, and our two Sports Councillors.Successful pupils will then become the sports organising crew.
Application window opens
Monday 12th September and closes Thursday 15th September.
Interviews will take place week commencing 19th September
