Sports Week - June 2016

(11.7.16) Our children had a great sports week in June, we hope you enjoy the slide show:-

 

 

Tennis at Sports City

(8.7.16) Some of our children attended the Greater Manchester Mini Games Tennis Competition at Sports City.  Here they are below with the Mayor of Rochdale.

 

 

Y5 Football Competition — Ethiad

(8.7.16) Some of our children enjoyed a football competition on Wednesday 6th July at the Greater Manchester School Games. 

 

 

Y5 Bike ability

(8.7.16)  Some of our children in Year 5 took part in the Government approved National Standard for Cycle Training.  They had lots of fun and learnt some very important skills.  The children will be presented with their certificates next week. 

 

 

Y5 - Girls Football Match

(24.6.16)  Well done to the Year 4/5 Girls Football Team who played a fantastic game on Wednesday 15th June in the Rochdale Borough School Games Football Competition. The girls won 3 games, 1 draw and lost 2 games.  The Scorers where Martha & Faith.  Well done for winning some well deserved  bronze medal girls. 

 

Y3/Y4 — Gymnastics Afterschool Club

(15.6.16)  The children have had a wonderful time at the gymnastics afterschool club on a Thursday.  We hope to run more clubs in the future.  Enjoy the photographs.

 

 

Y5/Y6 Rugby Competition — 23rd May

(24.5.16) The Year 5/6 Rugby teams did fantastically well last night (23rd May) at the St. Cuthbert's Competition. Both teams played very well. A big thank you to St.Cuthberts for putting on a lovely afternoon. 

The children got to see and have their picture taken with the under 20's World Cup trophy. A very special treat.

 

 

Y1 — Football Competition

(24.5.16)  The year 1 football team had a fun afternoon on Friday 20th May, playing against other schools on the Spotland pitch for the Rochdale Schools Cup, football competition. 

 

Y5/Y6 — Rounder's Competition

Well done to the year 5/6 Rounder’s team who won all their games last night at the Cardinal Langley Competition and are now through to the final. The team played fantastically and had a well-deserved win. Player of the match was Matthew well done.

 

Y5/Y6 — Golf Competition

(13.5.16)  Well done to the year 5/6 golf team who got through to the finals last night at Kingway School. The played extremely well and deserved their place in the finals. Well done team.

 

 

 

All4Sports — Tri Golf Event

(13.5.16) Some of our children enjoyed enhancing their golf skills at an All4Sports event at Kingsway yesterday 12th May.  The weather was a lovely and sunny making the day even more pleasant.

 

 

Handball Competition — 5th May

(6.5.16) It was a fabulous performance from all involved in the match against Whittaker Moss last night (5th May). The children played 3 small games, refereed by a Link4Life coach. The final result was 2 games to St. Vincent’s & 1 to Whittaker Moss.  Well done everyone.

Year 4 — Football Team — 22nd April 2016

 

(3.5.16)  Another fantastic game with St. John's on Friday 22nd April.  The game was played with great sportsmanship as always.  The year 4 children played outstanding and the game finished 0-0.  The man of the match was Samuel he worked extremely hard for his team and was very unlucky not to score.

Year 4/5 Swimming Team — 15th March 2016

 

(15.4.16)  The Year 4/5 swimming team have had great success.  Both boys and girls together won the Rochdale Borough Gala and, being the highest scoring girls“ team in Rochdale, the girls went on to represent our borough at the Winter Games.  They competed at a high level and achieved 'runners up' in the whole of greater Manchester.  Well done!

Match Analysis                       

The year 5/6 Basketball team played an excellent game last night in the Basketball school Games at Cardinal Langley.  They lost only 1 game in the entire competition, but came 3rd over all.  The standard was very high and I was extremely proud of their performance.  Well done team.

Match Analysis

The year 5/6 Athletics Team performed fantastically well on Tuesday 1st Dec.  All 12 athletes competed in both track and field events.  They came 3rd on the night. 

Well done team it was a great performance.
