Y1 / Y2 Phonics test

 

At St Vincent’s, 65 children completed the phonic screen check in June 2016 (59 Year 1 children and 6 Year 2 children).

In Y1, 49 children (82%) achieved the required pass mark (above national figures).

I child in Year 1 was absent from the test.

In Y2, 4 children (66%) achieved the pass mark with the other 2 children improving upon their previous Year 1 score.
