Trip to Blackpool Zoo

On Monday 3rd July Reception enjoyed a fantastic day at Blackpool Zoo. The weather was warm and dry so we were able to get around and see most of the animals. We ate our lunch whilst watching the sea lion show but had to protect our food from several very cheeky opportunist thieves who were watching and waiting (the seagulls)!

We loved the monkeys, zebras, gorillas…… and even stepping back in time to see some dinosaurs. It was a trip to always remember! (5.7.17)

Easter Basket Parade

On Friday 7th April our Reception children enjoyed an Easter Basket Parade for parents and carers.  The children in Reception had a lovely time decorating their Easter baskets and taking part in our Easter parade for parents. Congratulations to Oliver and Emily who won an Easter egg for the best Easter basket.  Thank you to everyone who came along to support this event.  (12.4.17)

Come Play and Stay — 24th March

We would like to thank all the parents and carers who attended Reception's Come, Play and Stay session. After the  children had performed their wonderful Mother's Day assembly they had the opportunity to relax as they shared their learning environment with their family and friends.  We hope you enjoy the pictures.  (12.4.17)

Smithills Farm Visit

Reception enjoyed a wonderful, sunny day at Smithills farm on Monday 3rd April. We enjoyed a bumpy tractor ride, feeding the animals, donkey rides and stroking the animals in Pets’ Corner. Every year, there’s something new to enjoy and it’s such a lovely place to visit.  We hope you enjoy the pictures.  (12.4.17)

Mother's Day Assembly

A huge congratulations to Reception on performing their first school assembly to parents and carers on Friday 24th March. The children worked very hard learning their lines and songs for their Mother's Day assembly.  I'm sure all the mums will agree that there wasn't a dry eye in the room come the end of their spectacular performance.   We hope you enjoy the video below:-  (7.4.17)

Christmas 2016 — “A Miracle in Town”

The Reception children and six Year 6 pupils had great fun presenting “A Miracle in Town” to our Mums, Dads and families.  We sang, signed and danced along to the songs that accompanied the greatest story of all – the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.  It was a night to remember!  We hope you enjoy the video below. 'Come, Play and Stay'

On Friday 18th November the parents/carers of the reception children enjoyed our first come, play and stay session. Together they explored our areas, had the opportunity to complete some challenges and looked at the work completed so far by the children. The children really enjoyed having their parents/carers in school and we look forward to repeating this later in the year.  Thank you for your support. (25.11.16)
