At St. Vincent's we are extremely fortunate to have a hard-working and dedicated team of T.A.'s. Miss Robertson and Mr. Robertson were asked to address a group of professionals at an Autism Champions course, sharing experience and expertise of working in a primary school setting. Their input was so well received with many positive comments and reactions made about their professionalism and knowledge. We are very proud of them.
Caritas have sent school a wonderful thank you message. "Dear Mr. Callaghan. Thank you very much for the cheque for the fantastic sum of £5339.35 received from your school for the 2017 St Joseph’s Penny Appeal. Thank you very much for your support and funds, which are now needed more than ever to support those communities in need in our Diocese. I have attached a copy of the certificate, which includes Denis, who your children will have ‘met’ if you took advantage of our Resource Pack. Next year we want the St Joseph's Lenten Appeal to be even BIGGER AND BETTER. A big Thank You to all involved, Kind regards, Francesco On behalf of Meriel Woodward, Fundraising Manager".
Our Year 4 children had been working extremely hard to practice and perform ready for their assembly all about the fantastic campaign, ‘Send My Friend to School’. On Friday 23rd June, they performed it in front of the school and a very special visitor. We were honoured and delighted to have Liz McInnes, our local MP, visit. She was mightily impressed and touched by the message in our assembly.
